Villas (Single Family Homes & Duplexes)
What is the advantage of selling my home and purchasing a Villa?
Many advantages. First of all, you are downsizing and eliminating exterior maintenance. You are now going to enjoy the retirement you have dreamed about.
What is the continuum of care offered when you purchase a Villa?
Upon the purchase of a Villa, this means that when the time comes when you may have to downsize further to an apartment or go to our Assisted Living facility or our Nursing Home, you are a priority admission. You or your family does not have to look further for placement or worry about a wait list for entry.
Who pays the real estates taxes?
Your real estate taxes are prorated the first year, and they become the responsibility of the individual owner thereafter.
Are pets allowed in a Villa?
Yes, please check for restrictions.
Are the Villas age restrictive?
Yes, they are. One person of a couple must be 55 to reside in a Villa.
Estates (Elegant Retirement Apartments)
Is there an endowment fee?
No, it is a month-to-month rental rate—no endowment fee requested. A deposit is required however, which is transferable to our other campus facilities.
What is included with the month-to-month rent?
The monthly rental fee includes: 2 meals per day, weekly housekeeping, scheduled transportation to and from shopping and other activities, beauty/barber shop, all utilities including cable (excluding telephone), complete building and grounds maintenance, and peace of mind for your family knowing that someone is always close by.
How quickly may I rent an apartment?
Apartments are rented upon availability. If there is not an apartment available at that particular moment, you may pay your deposit and be placed on our waiting list. As an apartment becomes available, you will be called at which time you may accept or decline.
Do you allow pets?
Yes, please see the Manager for restrictions.
I’m using a cane/walker. Am I allowed admission to the retirement apartments?
Yes, if you are independent with the use of a cane/walker, and your physician deems you appropriate for independent living.
Do you offer garages/carports for vehicles?
We offer garages or carports.
What activities are offered?
Many different activities are offered at our facility such as: card games, fitness, outings at various restaurants and shopping.
Hawthorne Inn (Assisted Living)
Does Medicare pay for anything at Assisted Living?
Medicare Part B and some home health benefits may apply to qualified residents.
What is included in the price?
Services such as assistance with bathing grooming, medication reminders and activities are included along with monthly rental of suite or apartment, three meals a day, all utilities (except telephone), cable TV, and social & recreational activities.
Do we accept Medicaid payments?
No, at the Hawthorne Inn we are not Medicaid Certified.
Manor Court (Skilled Nursing Care)
When will Medicare pay for Dad/Mom’s stay at Manor Court?
Medicare Part A generally covers a short term stay while receiving skilled nursing or therapy services. The amount of coverage depends on individual needs. Medicare Part A will only cover up to 100 days for a spell of illness, and specific criteria must be met in order for Medicare to cover.
Will Medicaid cover any expenses for Dad/Mom’s stay?
Yes, Manor Court is Medicaid certified, just contact us and check for availability.
Can Dad/Mom leave the facility with us?
Yes, the residents are free to come and go as they please.
If Dad or Mom spends his/her money down to the point where he/she can no longer afford The Manor, what would we do?
The Manor is Medicaid certified. Please check for availability of a Medicaid certified bed.
Can Dad/Mom have a private room?
Our skilled nursing facility offers private and semi-private rooms. Please call us for availability.
What about the meals, do we have a choice of what to eat?
A choice of entrée is offered to each resident with each meal and accommodates special diets.
Do you have cable TV?
Yes, we have cable TV in each of our suites and it’s included in the daily room rate.
